Kerr Lake Unsolved Murder

Unique tattoo may help discover identity of victim.

SUFFOLK VA NEWS -- The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office in Virginia is attempting to solve the murder of a man found floating in Kerr Lake near Crescent Lane, Clarksville, Virginia on Saturday, November 21, 2009. The body of the victim was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office, in Richmond, Virginia, for autopsy and identification, which concluded the cause of death to have been blunt force trauma to the head. However, the man's identity remains a mystery, and the death is being investigated as a homicide by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff.

Kerr Lake Murder Victim's Tattoo

The unidentified victim is described as white male, possibly between the age of 35 to 50. Additionally, the corpse was found in Kerr Lake fully clothed wearing blue jeans, a canvas belt and a pair of black Nike tennis shoes. Although no identification was found on the body, the victim does have a tattoo on his right shoulder of a Doberman Pinscher's head with the word "CAPONE," and the date "2-14-92," tattooed underneath the dog's head.
